This sandal looks good in theory but doesn't pan out. The main problem is that the footbed is too hard. I'd hoped to use the sandals for long walks, but my feet and knees get tired and sore after a couple of miles. Also, the upper part of the sandal covers too much of the foot and thus is too warm during hot weather. The slick leather footbed is sweaty. And there is a decorative detail near the toes that looks good but is irritating to the toes. Also, the sandals are very heavy.

The elastic tightening mechanism is useful; I can adjust it tighter for walking or leave it loose for padding around the house and yard. The shoe is sturdy and attractive, but it doesn't serve my purpose of being a good walking sandal for long distances.....READ MORE REVIEW

Good Looking Shoe but..............
This shoe is cute but the between-the-toe strap is stiff and bits, so I cannot wear for any length of time.
I tried adjusting the buckle on the side but didn't make the difference. I will stay away from this kind of

Break them in!
Yes, these shoes arrive narrow, because they are made out of very high quality leather that will stretch and mold to your feet over time. Just like a good pair of leather riding boots, you can't buy them feeling "comfy" from the store because they will stretch and be a full size too big by the 5th time you wear them, especially after you get them a little wet. Since I have zero amounts of patience, I facilitated the break in process by rubbing them with a wet cloth lathered with a conditioning saddle soap. The leather immediately softened and I wore them for the next few hours in relative comfort as they began to mold to my feet. I purchased the nature color in a size 40, which amazon lists as a size 10. I know, a 41 is a size 10 (way to go amazon) but I ended up being OK with this misrepresentation because, again, the quality of the leather warrants getting a half size too small. I always wear a 41, and I admit my heel hangs about 1/8" off the back...a problem that will.......READ MORE REVIEW

The straps rub my feet and make the sandals uncomfortable to wear.
The idea of sandals for wet or dry conditions is why I made this purchase.
I usually find that Columbia shoes fit me well, but the straps on these sandals rub my foot. Maybe it is just my feet and they would fit someone else perfectly, but for me three stars is all I can award.
I will persevere wearing them around the house in the hope that the straps will soften and become comfortable. If they do, I will update this review.
Also they are only available in whole sizes, be aware of the raised rim around the footbed if ordering a size smaller than your usual half-size ... I would imagine it would be uncomfortable if the rim is too close to your foot.....READ MORE REVIEW

NOT True to Size
First, these are great sandals. I buy a new pair of Danskos every spring, so I have quite a collection. These are among the most comfortable of all my Dansko sandals. The footbed is the softest of any pair of Danskos I own, and the fact that it is suede keeps my foot from sliding around and makes for a more secure fit, as well as resisting that sweaty-foot feel. They are also lighter weight than similar style Dansko sandals.

But please note: These do NOT run true to size, not even to Dansko size. I wear a perfect size 11US, which is a 42--NOT a 41 in European sizes, no matter what manufacturers say (including Dansko). I always wear a 42 in Dansko (and Birkenstock, and every other maker). But after reading the reviews, I ordered these in a 43. They fit exactly as a Dansko 42 usually fits. These could even stand to be a 1/4 inch longer for me. I strongly recommend ordering UP one size from your usual Dansko size, at least in the larger sizes.
